Change – demographic changes, climate change, changes in political boundaries, calls for social justice, rapidly developing technology – change is all around us. What does leadership look like in this changing world? In the field of cultural heritage conservation there are calls to decolonize, reduce climate impact, become people centered, diversify, connect the tangible to the intangible, the moveable to the immoveable, the natural to the built. How are leaders responding to these different emerging contexts and creating change in the conservation field?
The Collection seeks contributions from all continents that address these questions about leadership.
We welcome a diversity of submissions that can inform the sector, including emerging and established leaders, and inspire ideas for practice, action and further study. Opinion pieces, digital posters, case studies, pieces that reflect on or build on arguments in published articles in this collection, and research articles from those in and adjacent to the field of cultural heritage conservation are encouraged.
Keywords: conservation, leadership, cultural heritage, change, management
Submission deadline: 31 December 2024
